The day was very wet early on but the players didn't disapoint playing some wonderful passing football and scoring some superb individual and team goals along the way. As the day progressed and the sun came out the football improved as did the results. The whole team worked hard for each other both in possession but more importantly in defence reducing the opposition to very little shooting opportunities. The attacks that made it through our defence were dealt with by our exceptional goal keeper. The attacking options we possesed as a team allowed us to create a multitude of scoring options taking us through to the final.

The final was a true credit to the beautiful game with some wonderful football on display by both teams. We increased the tempo and created several scoring opportunities before taking the lead. As the second half started we pushed for the second goal and split open their defence once again and finished enfatically to a load cheer from the crowd.

Final - Spanish S.S 2 - 0 Avon Athletic Yellow
